Enterprise Employment
At Lifestyle Solutions we have identified a significant gap in employment options for people in the community who are challenged in finding and maintaining long term employment.
As a result, in March 2011 we purchased the Wallsend Community Nursery to establish a Work Assist Program and address this gap in employment options for people with disability.
We have established a workplace that provides services to our community whilst providing opportunities for Assisted Workers to become a valued member of the community through their employment.
Assisted Workers employed by Lifestyle Solutions Work Assist Program are from a myriad of groups within the community, with a particular focus on disability and Mental Health. We are committed to providing assistance that will encourage the wellness of all employees, provide formal training and education and create sustainable employment.
The Work Assist Program has been developed to:
-
Identify people with a disability who want to work
-
Match people with a disability to appropriate and desired types of work available in the community
-
Manage the individual needs of people with disability and provide the oppotunity for them to explore their potential in the work place
-
Monitor (through a specific Mood Monitoring Tool) the impact that secure, sustainable and supportive employment makes on an individual’s general wellbeing and quality of life.
The Enterprise Employment Division of Lifestyle Solutions currently owns and operates the:
-
Wallsend Community Nursery
-
Community Garden Maintenance
-
Community Mowing Services and
-
The Butterfly Effect Cafe
